Flow Computers / Totalizers with Communication Port G Instruments designs and manufatures many devices that have a communication port. These are some of our flow computers / totalizers, our remote displays, our magmeters, all of our SCADA devices and systems and our field programmable temperature transmitters>. All of them have fully compliant MODBUS RTU communication port. This port is typically over RS485 but can also be over RS232 or USB. Many wirelles short and long distance modules can be directly connected to our devices to make a remote connection to a master or connect the device to a remote network. Our flow computers / totalizers with MODBUS communication have a fully compliant, fully programmable communication port, represent 1/8 standard RS485 load which allows up to 247 devices to be connected to the same two wires network. A remote master on the same wires or far away connected through a radio link can read flow rate and total many times a second, can start and stop a batch session, clear the total and perform many other useful automated tasks.
